Our belief at the beginning of a doubtful undertaking... - 1:24 PM, Oct. 12, 2006

"Our belief at the beginning of a doubtful undertaking is the one thing that assures the successful outcome of any venture."
- William James

Can we subsitute "Intention" for the word "belief" to fully understand what William is saying? Our intentions are what make or break a venture that we are creating... Tim

Self confidence - 10:54 AM, Oct. 13, 2006 Edit Delete

And I guess this is why it is so important to instill confidence in our children, so that they BELIEVE that they can make things happen.

My 6 year old son just saw the movie The Secret. He then decided he wanted 10 gold coins (10 dollar coins).

He listened to what came into his head, and requested that we put up a lemonade stand the next day. It was cold, so we did hot cocoa instead, right in front of our house for 2 hours. I thought he would be lucky to make $5, but he actually made $16.35 . We'll now go to the bank and convert $10 of those dollars to dollar coins.

He's flying high now, and loving that he can control making things happen in his life

Wow! Rita - 8:33 AM, Oct. 14, 2006 Edit Delete

Thanks Rita for that wonderful share... I had a similar one with my daughter Zoe. She was looking for a new computer and really wanted the Titanium Apple Laptop and she thought she couldn't afford it so she was settling for a couple of models down... I asked if she wanted to play the "Intention Game' and to give it a week. 3 days later, she was at work checking out computers when her boss walked by and noticed she was looking at computers. She asked Zoe which computer she wanted and when Zoe showed her, she said that she couldn't give Zoe a bonus; she could give her a computer. So Zoe got the computer she was dreaming about and she now undersatands a bit better the power of Intention (Law of Attraction).
It must be the air!!!!!! Tim
