I just got an email frfom a friend whose life has completely turned upside down, at least that is what she thought was going to happen. Instead she has found that the univerwse has provided for her in ways that she could have never imagined and that instead of living in fear, her life has become one of excitement and wonder.
So what a blessing has come from what originally looked like a disaster to one of joy by trusting yourself and the universe to work together to not only just survive but to find peace and joy and love... Tim

For a while I had trouble getting on to this site and now I am able. Blogging is about creating a habit to get on and create it at least 3 times a week if not more. I will start making my daily blogs here again starting right now. Thank you for joining me... Tim
"Each day, we're given many opportunities to open up or shut down. The most precious opportunity presents itself when we come to the place where we think we can't handle whatever is happening. It's too much.
It's gone too far. We feel bad about ourselves. There's no way we can manipulate the situation to make ourselves come out looking good. No matter how hard we try, it just won't work. Basically, life has just nailed us.
Generally speaking, we regard discomfort in any form as bad news. But for practitioners or spiritual warriors - people who have a certain hunger to know what is true - feelings like disappointment, embarrassment, irritation, resentment, anger, jealousy, and fear, instead of being bad news, are actually very clear moments that teach us where it is that we're holding back. They teach us to perk up and lean in, when we feel we'd rather collapse and back away. They're like messengers that show us, with terrifying clarity, exactly where we're stuck. This very moment is the perfect teacher, and, lucky for us, it's with us wherever we are.
Those events and people in our lives who trigger our unresolved issues could be regarded as good news. We don't have to go hunting for anything. We don't need to try to create situations in which we reach our limit. They occur all by themselves, with clockwork regularity."
Karen Newland (Glorified Go'fers0 sent this to me and I thought I would share this wisdom with you. Karen gets a daily inspiration from InnerSelf.com - Daily Inspiration and this one is EXCERPTED FROM the InnerSelf.com article: Here & Now: The Perfect Teacher by Pema Ch"dr"n.
Thank you Karen for your wisdom and sharing these words of wisdom with me... Tim
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - Frank Herbert
How can we use fear to stay in our integrity rather than loosing our integrity when we come up against our fear? This is one of my favorite passages in Frank's book "Dune" as itg gives us a great tool to do just that... Tim
"Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake." - Victor Hugo
So what is Victor saying here? To have courage for the great sorrows and patience for the small ones; what does that mean? Is he saying that we come up against set backs and loss in our lives and that we live our lives as well as we can? That when it is all set and done, to let go and sleep in peace and let the Universe (God) take care of us in ways we can't even imagine... Hmmmm, some great food for thought... Create a wonderful day and stay in the flow of the Universe so you may live and realize your dreams... Tim
"Our belief at the beginning of a doubtful undertaking is the one thing that assures the successful outcome of any venture." - William James
Can we subsitute "Intention" for the word "belief" to fully understand what William is saying? Our intentions are what make or break a venture that we are creating... Tim
To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has already achieved, but at what he aspires to do. - Kahlil Gibran
What a great line from Kahlil as what is important is not the past as we can change that in a nano second by looking to our heart for our passions and dreams. From this we create whole new aspirations to live our life... Tim
The victory of success is half won when one gains the habit of setting goals and achieving them. Even the most tedious chore will become endurable as you parade through each day convinced that every task, no matter how menial or boring, brings you closer to fulfilling your dreams. - Og Mandino
Goals are wonderful tools and they can also be horrible deficits. Unless we use a goal as a tool to reach our dreams, goals can become a way we keep ourselves from realizing our dreams. If we just set random goals and usually ones we don't really want or they are not achievable, they become the reason we can't live our dreams. A great way to use goals as a tool to support us is to use the S.M.A.R.T. method for setting our goals. S = SPECIFIC, so our goal wants to be as specific as possible; M = Measurable, which is we have a way of knowing that we have made our goal; A = Achievable, which means that we do live in our physical realm and if we have never made a $100,000.00 don't set a goal to do that in a month; R = Risky, on the other hand don't set a goal that is too easy to achieve such as setting a goal you know you have achieved all ready; T = Timely, make sure to set a very specific timeline to achieve your goal. An example of a goal that many of us set that isn't likely to work well for our success: "I will make more money and be happy." This is not an S.M.A.R.T. goal and one that doesn't have much of a chance for success. Does this one work better for our success? “I am making $5,000.00 a month or more from my current $3,000 a month on December 31st, 2007 at 5 PM." So I have given myself a year to make an extra $2,000 a month or more and if I have never done that, this is a risky goal and yet achievable, it is measurable, specific and timely. This goal then becomes our "Product Goal". I will go into that on tomorrow's blog. So create a wonderful and fulfilling day... Tim
If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity, it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life, and when it comes, hold your head high. Look it squarely in the eye, and say, "I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me." - Ann Landers
The other side of what Ann is saying is to recognize "Trouble" as a gift for us to travel down our path of self realization. That without "Trouble” how would we be able to rediscover who we really are and start to manifest that. Remember that defeat or failure only happens when we decide not to get up again; so as long as we love ourselves "hold your head high" we will not be defeated. Create a wonderful day... Tim
It seems to be a law of nature, inflexible and inexorable, that those who will not risk cannot win. - Paul Jones
What is Paul saying here? What is risk? Are there different levels of risk and the more you risk the more you gain? Could a definition of risk be something like being open and living in the moment? Is that a different kind of risk than to put yourself in danger of loosing? What is risk to you? Risk to me is counting on an outcome and then worrying about that it won't happen the way I want it to... Tim
I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit.
- Dawna Markova
Some beautiful words to live our lives by and I know reading them will make a difference in your life... Tim
"The scoreboard said I lost today, but what the scoreboard doesn't say is what it is I have found. Over the last 21 years, I have found loyalty. You have pulled for me on the court and also in life. I found inspiration. You have willed me to succeed, sometimes even in my lowest moments, and I've found generosity. You have given me your shoulders to stand on to reach for my dreams, dreams I could never have reached without you."
- ANDRE AGASSI, to the fans after the last match of his professional tennis career.
Now there's a man with class... turning his "defeat" into a victory for life through gratitude... Tim
"You must go after your wish. As soon as you start to pursue a dream, your life wakes up and everything has meaning." Barbara Sher (American Author)
What is Barbara saying to us here? Is dream and wish the same as your life purpose? That for you to truely be alive, you must discover and live your dream? In this day and age have we lost our dreams in the process of living? How can we discover our dreams and life purpose? That is what this blog is all about to create a forum for us to discover who we are and what our life purpose is in our lives. I look forward to hearing from you and to create some great discussions around Mind & Purpose... Tim

"Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry, the philosophy which does not laugh and the greatness which does not bow before children." - Kahlil Gibran
Here is a seldom heard quote from one of my favorite philosophers and writers... Create your day the way you want to conciously and not by default... Tim

"The men who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing and succeed." - Lloyd Jones
So what is Lloyd saying here? That it is better to take action and fail rather than "doing" nothing? What is failure anyway? Can you really fail if you keep getting up? Here are some questions for you to ponder as you create a wonderful day today... Tim

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?"
- Mary Manin Morrissey
Hey I'm back!!!! Thank you Rita and Gale for getting my blog back up and running!!!!! I thought that this was a very appropriate quote to get back in the swing of life... Since I haven't been able to write my blog I feel as if I had one foot on the brake and one on the gas.... so here we go and enjoy... Tim
