Anomalocaris, weird shrimp. Laggania, weird sponge. - 4:20 PM, Mar. 27, 2006

Stars of Dinosounds:

Anomalocaris and Laggania were like the sharks of the Cambrian seas. My friend and colleague, Dr. Michael Vendrasco, found a jaw from Anomalocaris when looking for trilobites in California. He wasn’t sure what it was at first. When he showed me the specimen, I recognized it immediately. The jaw was four times the size of the trilobites he was finding, and there was no other creature so big.
